Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) has kept it's word and our Bil Cukai Taksiran has indeed been reduced from a hefty 8% to 6%. The announcement made in September 2008 has been implemented.

D'Aman Ria

D'Aman Ria is located on Jalan PJU 1A/41 just before the infamous tunnel that links PJU and Taman Emas. The Subang LRT depot will have a LRT station built in the near future (targeted completion in 2012) will definitely enhance the complex's demand.

Just next to it is the NiuZeXui commercial center which despite a promising start has fallen on hard times lately. The LRT station may well be it's last chance for a revival.

SRI MAYANG APARTMENT

This apartment is nestled in a the SS25/41 light industrial area and is usually unnoticed by most people. To get there you have to come from the Kelana lake direction and pass the FAS Business Avenue/FAS training center. You will now notice a row of 2-story shop-offices occupied by mostly auto mechanics, a pet hotel and the Supercab taxi company. Slow down as the entrance is easily missed by many.

After you turn left into the shops, go a further 50 meters or so and you will see the deep pink Mayang Court 5-storey (walk-up) apartments. Sri Mayang is the cream colored single high rise next to it. It is definitely better looking now after its recent long overdue repainting.

It is a no-frills apartment complex with the basic cleaning/refuse collection services, a children's playground and security. But with only 48 freehold units and prices around the RM180,000 mark it is definitely worth considering if you are like many people who live in full facilities condos but hardly ever make use of them.

DATARAN PRIMA CONDO

Located within the affluent Aman Suria district, Phase 1 was developed by Puncak Kencana (member of Mutiara Goodyear) in 2005, it comprises of 210 freehold units in two blocks of a 22-storey condo with units ranging from 2-bedroom (1037 sq ft) to 3+1-bedroom (1529 sq ft).
